About Chariot's Wheels

Chariot's Wheels first came on line in 1995. Back then, it was just a little personal page on CompuServe. The first Chariot's Wheels had no real purpose; it was just an exercise in ego and HTML [like most webpages, if we're gonna be honest ;-)].
And like most webpages, Chariot's Wheels took on a life of its own -- slowly aggregating more pages of text and graphics.
Probably the sole most significant event in the life of Chariot's Wheels, was the birth of The Witches' Voice. Chariot was one of those people who stumbled onto Witchvox that first month it was officially on the 'Web, and it forever changed the content and direction of Chariot's Wheels. For that, I am eternally indebted to Wren & Fritz....
Chariot was inspired by many things at Witchvox, and soon began the reconstruction of his Wheels into a site about Paganism.
His first real effort was an essay about Pagan Unity (for more on Pagan Unity, be sure to visit Witchvox -- getting the picture yet?) entitled: The First Wiccan Heresy.
He personally hopes that no extant copies of that essay will ever again see the light of day; but hey, we all have to start somewhere.
In December of that year, the site moved to its permanent home and URL: www.chariotswheels.com.
Since that time there have been many changes at Chariot's Wheels, including a total of 4 complete redesigns. The last redesign has tried to focus on content as much as layout and design, and Chariot feels it is his best effort to date.
Not to be denied its rightful place in the inspiration of Chariot's Wheels, please visit The Dance and pay your respects to Willowsong who left this plane far before her time.

About Chariot

Chariot will be the first to admit he is odd, even by his own standards. He is firmly against labels (and frankly getting tired of referring to himself in the third person) but to keep it simple, he refers to himself as a nondenominational, Cabalistic, Gay Pagan with strong Chaoist leanings.
Chariot's Wheels is a small sampling of his many interests. Being a prototypical Gemini, those interests are mind-bogglingly varied.
Besides his spiritual/magical interests (the primary focus of Chariot's Wheels) he is also a sometime writer of fiction poetry (he is on the editorial board of The Harrow an e-zine of dark fantasy and horror), an affirmed sneaker freak (see Sneaker Nation, Sneaker Central and Charlie's Sneaker Pages) an absolutely devoted fan of Blue Oyster Cult and their music (for more insight into Chariot's musical tastes, check out the Book & Music Store) and way too much more to mention!
On a personal note, he is happily attached to his beloved partner of 7 years (who is no where near as odd). They are both owned by a 5 year old Golden Retriever named Barrett (real Pink Floyd fans will understand).
