Leaves and Roots
Leaves and Roots is not a Pagan supplier, per se... but they carry a FULL line of herbs, essential and fragrance oils, aromatherapy supplies and incense. What's that you say? Can't find that pesky Gum Tragacanth? Look no further! The first shop I've found who carries Tragacanth and doesn't require you to buy in 50 pound lots, or charge an arm and a leg for it! Leaves and Roots is a wonderful shop...and the folks who run it are helpful and courteous as well. You're bumble-fingered host (that would be me: Chariot) managed to enter his cc# incorrectly. I received a patient and courteous call from Leaves and Roots (long distance at their expense) to correct the error. They also called me to inform me that the price on one of the oils I had requested had gone up... did I still want it? Even if I hadn't really wanted it, I probably would have bought it because of their courteous phone call. So if you're looking for an herb or an oil and you can't find it anywhere else, hop over to Leaves and Roots, before long you'll be making them you're FIRST stop.
The Five Elements
Pocatello Idaho's only Pagan owned and operated shop! I have no way of knowing if their simple boast is true, but I wouldn't doubt it. And dealing with Lady Arrianon and SC is a pleasure. It's been a while since I ordered from The Five Elements, but when I have it has been a pleasant and trouble free process. They carry a complete line of supplies... I couldn't even begin to list them. Their prices are excellent... much better than just about every online supplier I've looked at (while my list of reviews is short, I've examined many). As with Leaves and Roots below, the main reason why The Five Elements gets such a high score is their service..., their selection is great as are their prices, but service is everything! They are also the sponsors of Mystical Musings an online and, I believe, print newsletter for Pagans.
Crystal Mountain 1/2
Crystal Mountain is a unique supplier of interesting goods. I only shopped in their oils and incense section, but I perused the varied other offerings at their site. Unique is the best term that I can come up with to describe Crystal Mountain. They get three and a 1/2 wheels because their site was well organized, and they were a pleasure to do business with. The score would have been higher if they had offered a wider range a pagan goods (see they're not really a 'pagan supplier') and if there was a secure, online ordering system. These are not really faults. Crystal Mountain is a good place to shop if they carry what you need. Check them out and see if you fall into that category.
Cyber Incense
Okay, so I'm breaking my own rules, giving Cyber Incense 4 wheels. But here's why: quality and price. Cyber Incense retails only finest combustible and non-combustible incense. The quality of his resins is unmatched in my travels across the web. If you want to sample the sweetest, cleanest burning Frankincense, try some from Cyber Incense. Besides resins, Cyber Incense stocks the finest quality incense from India in traditional sticks and cones and Indian Dhoops (which, for the unitiated, are kind of like a stick and kind of like a cone; come in many varieties and are simply superb). Anyway, Cyber Incense gets 4 wheels for just being unique.
The Book of Shadows
**The Book of Shadows is "Totally owned and operated by Wiccans for Wiccans and Pagans". And they have an extensive catalog of goodies. They have a secure, online order form but no shopping basket program (would've got them 5 Wheels). One of the few places online that I have found Salt Petre (potassium nitrate). Great place to shop for your incense supplies (that's mostly what I bought in my first order). I placed a small order that was delivered in a timely fashion. Packed along with my order was a nicely printed card welcoming me to the "family", and attached to the card was a small crystal. Alas I do not know what type of crystal it is (possibly carnelian?) as that area of my studies is lacking at the moment. It was a nice gesture on their part, though. So, if you're shopping around for stuff and looking for a wide selection and good prices, drop by and see JoAnne and Darrell at The Book of Shadows
** Since my initial review of Book of Shadows, they have since changed their URL to www.bookofshadows.com and gotten a shopping cart program to help their shoppers. With my next purchase, I will re-review.
Amphigory 1/2
Amphigory is unique among the sites I have reviewed. They feature three catalogues: a magical catalogue which displays their lines of pagan/magical items (incense, oils, candles, magic jewelry, etc.); a cosmetics catalogue that is just dripping with style (provided you are into this kind of self expression); and a gothic catalogue for those who want to be truly unique, with a dark twist of course. The thing to remember about Amphigory is that they are a mail order house: since they do not have a huge warehouse to store their goods, they must choose their orders carefully and stock wisely. So those items you are interested in may not be in stock, and it may take a few weeks (sometimes as many as 8) to get what your order. Of course, this is not a problem if you simply must have those skull cufflinks, that Blue Pearl incense you remember so well but can't find anywhere or else, or that cool shade of eyeshadow you've never seen before. Amphigory gets 3 1/2 wheels from us because they of their unique catalogue, their friendliness, and their well designed site and ordering system (though if they had a secure ordering system they'd have been a sure bet for 4 1/2 or 5 wheels). I'd love to see Amphigory be able to take secure orders, and provide their goods a little faster... so my advice to you, dear surfer, is head over to Amphigory and see if they've got anything you need; and tell your friends about them... you never know who my might be dying for some Indian Chainmail accessories, or some heavy metal silver lipstick.
Kamala

Kamala Perfumes and Essential Elements is a joy! An extensive catalog of wonderful essential oils and herbs, along with other skin care and scent products. Not a full supplier of pagan goods, but when it comes to resins and oils, Kamala is going to be hard to beat.
A 3 Wheels site. Why? Hard to decide, to be honest. Wanted to give them 4 Wheels, but when I look at the product catalog and see what they carry, I realize they are slightly specialized in scents and body care (though they do carry herbs, tinctures and some candles). The ordering, though it had to be carried out over the phone, was a pleasant experience. They even called ME back when they were busy with another customer. My product (including samples of oils for very reasonable prices) arrived in just under a week, well packed and complete (except for the elusive Dragon's Blood essential oil, which they are trying to get for me).
All in all, a great place to shop for those things you need in the oil, herb, resin department!
