We have been hunted, demonized, slaughtered, repressed, feared...perhaps the last only rightly so. We are not accepted by most modern faiths, but we have a history that stretches back to the earliest reaches of human history and humanity's contact with the Divine.

At this time I can not recommend a better resource than Randy P Conner's book Blossom of Bone, for any who seek to glimpse the history that has been torn from us and hidden. Today we speak of pride, and that rightly so.  We have a rich history, and have often stood as intermediaries between humanity and the Divine. Now is the time for us to reclaim our history and our place as unique among humanity, not marginal but exceptional.

Antinous

I was first introduced to the story of Antinous by a friend whom I never hear from anymore (if you're out there Arthur, I'm still here). I was amazed, and probably should not have been, at what I learned. Certainly, Antinous is not the only god who's divinity was stolen, who's worshippers were put to the sword, and who's icons were defaced... but being a god who could be so close to us, makes it even more horrible to me.

Below are links to site and essays about Antinous and those who are reclaiming his divintiy today as a god of our special tribe.
