Chariot's Rant on Dave Thomas and Wendy's

| Dave Thomas is a bigot; that't my opinion. I'm ready to
back it up. A few years ago, Ellen Degeneres caused a big stir when she
came out on national TV as a lesbian. I salute her for her courage and ambition! The gay community needs role models, out role models who can show gay youth that they are not alone and that there is life after finding out the truth about oneself. Which brings me to Dave Thomas (and Chrysler Corporation, General Motors Corporation and Johnson & Johnson and any of you other low-lifes who did the same thing), who pulled his advertising when Ellen came out. Wouldn't want anyone to use that "fag by association" idea, now would we? And Goddess forbid someone might think we were standing up and ackowlegding a person's right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". This is old news, you might say. But I can't see his face without experiencing a bad taste in my mouth -- and it ain't just the food! |
